  • ¼ cup almonds
  • A: NAB: NB: NO: NB
  • (or pecans)
  • A: UAB: UB: NO: N
  • Water
  • A: HBAB: HBB: HBO: HB
  • Honey (optional)
  • A: NAB: NB: NO: N
  • Maple Syrup (optional)
  • A: NAB: NB: N O: N

    Put the almonds or pecans in the blender and whirl until they are ground fine. Add enough water to cover by about a half inch and whirl into a paste. Then, add enough water to make a quart. You can strain out the fiber but I leave it.

    Keep refrigerated. Lasts about 4-5 days. The nut milks are a great compliment to the grain cereal. They can be sweetened if you like. I don't do this either because the cereal is usually sweetened. Also, if you are a plan-a-header, you can soak the almonds over night in the fridge.
