LEMON GLAZED BROCCOLI JULIENNE A: OK AB: OK B: OK O: OK

  • 2 large Broccoli stalks
  • A: HB AB: HB B: HB O: HB
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • A: N AB: N B: N O: N
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • A: HB AB: HB B: N O: N
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • A: N AB: N B: N O: N

    Peel broccoli (not necessary, but much better this way). Cut stalks in half and then slice them lengthwise into 1/4" slices. Cut each slice into matchsticks (julienne).

    Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add the broccoli stalks and cook, tossing frequently, for 3-5 minutes, until tender-crisp.

    Add the lemon juice, toss, then sprinkle on sugar. Toss again and cook for 15 seconds. Serve immediately.

    Notes: Cindy's note: this is an excellent way to use up broccoli stalks; it almost tastes like a different vegetable.
