Strain the tea and add the juice of 1/2 lemon. Sweeten as desired and enjoy hot or cold. Keeps for 3 days in the fridge.
Other favourite ginger ideas:
1) Just take a glass of water, and add to it some ginger.
2) You can add ginger root extract available from any health food store, or grate your own. If you grate your own, you might want to make a bottle of it and steep it like tea, or freeze it in ice cubes.
3) For a little variety from time to time, you might add a sprig of mint (try different mints).
This is a wonderful cool drink in summer. It's also very helpful for digestion because of ginger's known digestive aid help. In winter you can add it to hot water and drink it as a hot tea.
